Brave Browser and Blockchain Ad Data Platform TAP Network Partner to Redeem Token Rewards
The blockchain-based Brave browser has recently announced a new partnership with TAP Network to connects bands o reward consumers using blockchain technology. Individuals will now be able to redeem Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for real-world rewards offered by over 250,000 brands around the world.
Brave users are rewarded with BAT tokens for viewing private ads from Brave’s partners. In this way, users will have a new way of receiving BAT tokens. These tokens can be redeemed for rewards and later can be used in exchange for goods and services. This will be enhancing the adoption of the browser and virtual currencies as a whole.
At the moment, Brave desktop users can view exclusive offers and ads from brand advertisers to earn BAT tokens. Those brand advertisers through the TAP Network will have the opportunity to reach an audience that has opted-in to viewing advertisements.
Brave users will have the possibility to redeem the earn tokens for hotel stays worldwide, restaurant vouchers, exclusive entertainment experiences and gift cards on Amazon, Uber or Apple, among other companies.
Brendan Eich, the CEO and co-founder of Brave, commented:

According to Lin Dai, the co-founder and CEO of TAP Network explained that consumer data is being misused by major internet companies and that TAP Network is able to empower consumers to control their data.

BAT has been growing as a web browser and company trying to change the way in which users are rewarded for viewing ads. A few months ago, Brave informed that they were already having more than 5 million active users per month.
