Brave Browser CEO Confirms Integration of the Web3 on its Blockchain Platform this Summer


Brave browser is taking a huge lap in the coming months as it plans to launch the web3 on the browser. The announcement came as a reply to a tweet by an Ethereum software engineer, Christoph Burgdorf, who asked about the integration of the Web3.

The top cryptocurrency and blockchain browsing platform is on a good run so far in 2019. The native platform token, BAT, has witnessed a 250% increase in value from its yearly low aided by rapid developments on the platform recently. Notwithstanding, the developments on the platform, especially the advertisement reward program, is causing the increase of Brave’s adoption rate.

Dating back all the way since the 90’s, the introduction of internet has revolutionized social interactions all over the world. From the introduction of the world wide web, that revolutionized information, to the rise of Web2, that came with new platforms in the industry like e-commerce and social media, a lot is credited to the way the internet has become more and more programmable over the years and this has played a key role in linking producers and consumers of information.

Brave browser has been at the heart of linking consumers and producers of goods and services through reward solutions for viewing advertisements. One of the recent users tweeted on his delight to install the browser and the rewards program. Adding to his tweet, Christopher Burgdorf, asked for the integration of Web3 tweeting,

The CEO and co-founder of the Brave browser, Brendan Eich, is on board with the integration of the Web3 on Brave browser. He replied to the tweet saying,

“Summer. What Dapps do you use?”

The Web3 browser and its benefits

The proposed addition to the Brave browser is a lightweight Java and Android library for integration with Ethereum clients. The library allows users to efficiently write smart contracts and further connecting the user with the nodes (or clients) on the Ethereum network.

The direct integration with the Ethereum nodes allows the users of Web3j to easily use the Ethereum platform without the need to install your own node from scratch.

Brave browser aiming to be top browser

Brave browser clinched the second spot on Play Store as the most downloaded browser, surpassing Chrome in the process. The leading blockchain browser shows no signs of stopping as adoption grows at a rapid pace. Its march to the top of Google Play Store downloads charts is still very much alive, especially after the launch of the advertisement reward program. Furthermore, the company is looking forward to securing a $30 million USD funding round sometime this year. The funds will be used to expand the development of the platform further.
