- Brave is the first mobile browser to provide secure phishing-resistant login
- Recently, it added support for native cryptocurrency wallets and added untargeted ads on Brave Nightly
- BAT meanwhile is up by 11.33%
Brave partnered with Yubico to bring YubiKey support to its browser for iOS. The latest YubiKey 5Ci however, is compatible with iOS and Android mobile devices as well as laptop & desktop hardware.
“We’re excited that Brave is the first mobile browser to feature robust & secure phishing-resistant login by adding support for the YubiKey 5Ci,” said Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave Software.
The hardware security key provider, Yubico basically prevents from popular and effective attacks like multi-factor authentication approaches, helping Brave achieve its fundamental goals of “security and privacy.”
“In an increasingly mobile first world, where users are not tied to one machine, the YubiKey 5Ci serves an important role as a portable root of trust, proving that users are who they say they are, no matter what device they are on,” said Jerrod Chong, Chief Solutions Officer, Yubico.
Just last week, support for native cryptocurrency wallets was added to Brave Nightly, a test and development version of the Brave browser.
The wallet update came days after its untargeted ads were added on Brave Nightly for 21 new countries.
Brave employs a three-part marketing system that rewards content creators, viewers, and advertisers through its native token, basic attention token (BAT). Currently, BAT is up by 11.33% while trading at $0.193.
