Brave Browser Releases The Beta Rewards Program Amidst A 160% Growth In User Base Since October
The Brave browser is becoming more and more adoptable to crypto fanatics and content producers across the globe. The latest report by BATGrowth, an independent website tracking the developments of the Brave browser, showed an impressive increase in the number of users of the browser since October 2018. The past six months have seen the number of users of Brave increase from less than 25,000 to 59,748 users today representing over 160% gain during the period. The Brave Browser
Brave is a browser, like Google Chrome or Opera, which allows its users to monetize their attention for advertisements through Basic Attention Token (BAT). The browser has seen over 20 million downloads since the start of the month showing the adoption rate is slowly increasing. The beauty of Brave browser is the automatic blocking of ads allowing websites and content on the web to run more smoothly and efficiently by increasing browsing speeds.
The Brave Browser allows advertisers to select content creators and publishers to host their ads. Once hosted, the users, who also have a choice to opt into ads, view and are rewarded in BAT tokens. The beta Brave rewards program was launched earlier in the week and is available to users on Android with the iOS version to be introduced in the near future.
This function isn’t yet fully available, but users are able to ‘tip’ their favorite publishers with BAT tokens. This can be either be a one-off donation, or a set monthly contribution.
The Magnificent Run Of YouTubers On Brave Browser
The impressive run of growth of Brave is heavily influenced by the number of YouTube publishers the platform is attracting. The number of YouTube publishers accounts for 70% of the total publishers on browsers with 41,331 publishers on YouTube. Some of the famous YouTube publishers associated with the Brave browser include TrapNation, Ozzyman Reviews, Arsenal Fans TV, VICE, VICE News, Noisey, and Complex.
