Brave Browser’s Basic Attention Token (BAT) Rewards Goes Live On Apple iOS
Brave browser, a pioneer blockchain-built browsing ecosystem, will now include rewards for iOS users who opt to view privacy ads within its platform. The platform’s rewards will be in the form of its native crypto coin ‘Basic Attention Token’ (BAT).

Brave clients can opt-out of viewing privacy-preserving ads by simply adjusting the settings. However, they will miss out on the 70% payout on revenues from ads they post and as well as the BAT token rewards. Android users have been receiving the rewards since March when the Brave platform integrated this operating system. Apple’s integration took a little bit longer given the complexity involved in linking Brave with iOS.
Business for Brave Browser has been quite successful despite competing against established giants like Chrome. The firm’s head of developer relations, Jonathan Sampson, recently noted that their monthly customer base is around 9 million.
The BAT token-friendly browser aims to revolutionize the advertising industry as we move into 4IR era. Ideally, consumers should have the power to choose adverts they wish to view within the Brave browser ecosystem. Furthermore, content creators will earn based on the BAT token rewards they get as appreciation for their work.
So far, the Brave browser has enabled BAT token tipping on popular platforms like Twitter which was launched in September. Other platforms supported by the BAT ecosystem include Twitch and YouTube.
