Craig Wright, nChain’s chief scientist and powerful proponent of Bitcoin SV, and Jimmy Song, a Bitcoin developer, and vocal YouTuber, have never been the best of friends. And it seems their differences will increase further in 2019 if what Jimmy Song has had to say about his nemesis is anything to go by.
A couple of months before the BCH Hardfork took place, and rumor mill was abuzz Craig Wright threatening to dump loads of Bitcoin in the market and thus mess it. This development understandably enraged lots of crypto enthusiasts, including Jimmy Song.
Jimmy who regularly updates his multitudes of YouTube audience on the happenings in the industry didn’t use the kindest of words to describe him. He was talking about the progress in the Bitcoin community, including what he opines as surviving a cool 10 years to insinuate growing stability.
According to Jimmy, the Lightning Network is among the best things to ever happen to BTC lately. And he’s happy than the current state of development is exciting, especially considering the ongoing innovations and how could unlock a massive and widespread Bitcoin adoption.
But he was quick to rebuke nChain’s chief scientist
Giving his thoughts on a YouTube interview, Jimmy spoke on a plethora of issues affecting the industry, before wading in on the assertions of nChain’s chief scientist. According to his understanding, that Wright was making such sentiments was not surprising to him, especially given the fact that he’s fond of making outrageous claims to gain free publicity.
His statements, however, pointed to a belief that Craig Wright is not credible and thus not worth listening to. According to his perceptions, Craig behaves like a fat kid who defensively says he has a beautiful girlfriend back home. And so, he wants Craig to stop his mere theatrics and instead prove the exploit he claims to have discovered.
Earlier Craig had claimed to have found a glaring flaw in Bitcoin’s network of codes, a defect, he said he would potentially use it to gain control of the entire network. He had additionally stated that he would disclose the flaw in the year.
This, according to Jimmy Song, is a PR ploy and that he shouldn’t be afforded any attention whatsoever. The question right now, however, is when and how the chief scientist would respond.
