BTC Focused Tech Firm Casa Announces iOS and Android Support For Sats Mobile Wallet

Through a blog post-Casa has stated that its Sats mobile Bitcoin wallet app is now being offered for both iOS and Android gadgets.

The new Sats App works like a noncustodial wallet with some unique features. In addition to being able to manage a user’s lightning node from the mobile app. Sats App is built for simplicity, while Casa Keymaster is built for ultimate security and control with included multisig protection. Many new clients will start with Casa by using Sats App as a simple way to earn Bitcoin or send to friends. Then they can escalate to using Keymaster as they learn more about key management and multisig.

The app is compatible with a public address-naming system deemedSatsTag. When Bitcoin is remitted using a SatsTag, a new address is obtained from the receiver’s public key and sent to the sender. The usual process of sending by scanning QR codes is possible as usual.

Litecoin founder Charlie Lee announced that he has invested in Casa. He praised Casa for driving BTC adoption and said:

“I have the same feeling about Casa today as I had about Coinbase when I joined in 2013 as the 3rd hire. Casa is making Bitcoin easy to use and that is extremely important for this space. Looking forward to great things!”

Stepping back, the bitcoin security startup has launched several products since last September, including protective faraday bags and the Casa lightning node device. Welch said the startup has raised more than $3.5 million so far from investors such as Alyse Killeen, Castle Island Ventures, Boost VC and Compound, just to name a few.
