A Toronto, Canada-based charity launched Coins 4 Clothes in February, accepting only Bitcoin Cash to buy clothing from wholesalers and distribute them to different charities in the city of Toronto. Not only has it donated more than 3,000 articles of clothing, it has also helped many people learn about the immense benefits of peer-to-peer electronic cash.
Coins 4 Clothes began its charity to assist homeless people through the winter season by giving them clothes. The charity organization purchased these clothes from wholesales using BCH, introducing all who were involved to bitcoin cash.

In July, Coins 4 Clothes told the bitcoin cash community through Reddit post that they had received a great deal of donations, raising around $400 that day.
Bitcoin Cash-Powered Operations
The charity organization announced recently on its blog that they had entered into a partnership with two charities in Toronto – Dress for Success and Dress your Best – both of which five disadvantaged women and men professional clothing for job interviews.
Following the agreement with the two Toronto-based charities, Coins 4 Clothes stressed that all their operations are fully driven by BCH donations. The organization stated that:
“We rely solely on bitcoin cash donations to operate. 100% of BCH donated goes towards purchasing gently used clothing from people in the community — We are helping the needy while spreading bitcoin cash adoption…. A [CAD]$10 donation in BCH can allow us to purchase an average of 30 gently used articles of clothing. Including t-shirts, shoes, dress pants and blazers, backpacks, skirts, sweaters, jeans etc.”
Thanks to the blockchain, which guarantees transparency and trust, Coins 4 Change has been able to show a glimpse of all their transactions through a section on their websites known as ‘financials.’ It makes public its BCH address, so that people can view their financial information and download it as they wish. The organization also goes further to show visual images of how it works through its official twitter handle and Instagram.
Growing Trend of BCH-Focused Charities
This year has seen a growing trend of Bitcoin Cash-focused charities, which like Coins 4 Clothes, have advanced their charity operations while at the same time educating those involved on peer-to-peer transactions and cryptocurrencies in general. One particular charity that has made headlines is Eat BCH, which purchases food for people living in Venezuela and South Sudan in a similar fashion with Coins 4 Sale.
