Centbee And nChain To Design A Toolkit That Accepts Bitcoin Cash At POS
nChain and Centbee announced collaboration for the development of Software Development Kit (SDK) for merchant point of sale. The SDK will be an open-source assortment of tools, processes, and interfaces that software developers and system integrate that software developers can utilize o enable retailers to easily and quickly accept Bitcoin Cash at the point of sale.
The announcement was made at the first CoinGeek conference held in Hong Kong, in an event that focused on merchant adoption of Bitcoin Cash and growth of a new bCommerce (Bitcoin Commerce) paradigm.
The collaboration between Centbee and nChain has a mission to increase awareness about ease and acceptability of cryptocurrencies as an alternate payment system. The project is funded by nChain to promote its vision of making it easy for everyone to use Bitcoin Cash for payments. Bitcoin Cash fulfills the original vision for Bitcoin as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system specifically built for worldwide transactions.
“Merchant acceptance of Bitcoin has been very limited to date. Centbee announced earlier this year that we would roll out mechanisms for merchants to accept Bitcoin Cash payments without exposure to price volatility and without installing new terminal hardware. This SDK is that global payment system. Merchant acceptance of Bitcoin has been very limited to date. Adding to Brown, nChain’s CEO Jimmy Nguyen said:
“As Centbee has focused on user-friendly Bitcoin wallets and merchant payment solutions we have partnered with them to ensure retailers can accept Bitcoin Cash at in-store points of sale for goods and services. This SDK will make it easier for merchants, through their PoS systems, to join the world of bCommerce. Centbee smartly embraces Bitcoin Cash because of its bigger blocks, low fees and fast transaction network represent the true vision of Bitcoin.”
Notably, in 2017, Centbee successfully piloted the acceptance of Bitcoin payments at retail points of sale and in January of this year, nChain’s investment arm, nChain Reaction, made an equity investment in Centbee.

More About nChain:
nChain is a global participant in research and development of blockchain technologies. nChain's engineers are creating and building a high-velocity enterprise-class architecture that can be deployed on a global scale to facilitate the delivery of the emergent Internet of Transactions.
No matter what you say about nChain, they sure are pushing the envelope and look to be very promising with their ability to roll out meaningful and what might be very useful patents in the near future. One thing we are concerned about is Craig Wright and his on going legal battle (which almost points out in greater detail that he is in fact Satoshi or one of the 3 main guys who were in the conversation from the very beginning) and hope to see resolution in there so all efforts can be focused on building the best chain (bitcoin or bitcoin cash) so we can establish which currency is right for the future of bCommerce and eCommerce.
