CEO of Bitcoin.com Roger Ver to Go to Bat Against Craig Wright in Libel Lawsuit

Craig Wright, who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, on Thursday, May 2nd 2019, served Bitcoin.com’s CEO, Roger Ver with a lawsuit for calling him a liar and a fraud in a video posted on YouTube (video has since been taken down).

Craig Wright is known for suing many people in the cryptocurrency community including

Roger Ver Gets Served

The lawsuit was served to Roger Ver at a Bitcoin Cash meeting in London, and correspondents from Decrypt Media were on scene.

In response to whether Ver was going to fight the lawsuit, he said “of course, I think i’m going to put out another video calling him a fraud and a liar again”. In addition he said:

“I’m not worried one bit. I’m annoyed I have to spend some money on the lawsuit rather than hire one developer to build more tools to bring more economic freedom to the world.”

Its Bad For BSV

Roger Ver as well as a lot of other crypto critics, disagree with Craig Wright’s method in suing different people in the cryptocurrency community, just to buttress his claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

Ver said that this strategy of Wright is bad for BSV (Bitcoin SV), the digital asset Craig Wright supports.

Platforms Drop Bitcoin Sv (BSV)

A few cryptocurrency exchange platforms including Kraken, Binance and ShapeShift have revoked their support for BVS. This is in protest of Wright’s litigious bullying in the cryptocurrency community.

Roger Ver said: “If you’re busy suing everybody, people aren’t going to be your friend. It’s that simple. Look at the lawsuits, all the exchanges that delisted SV,”

However, he added:

“I don’t think it was a good thing. If people want to trade it, I think people should be able to trade it. Free the market, free the world. If you want to trade Bitcoin SV, go for it.”
