Charles Hoskinson Outlines 3 Successful Cardano (ADA) Milestones: “Shelly Ready for Prime Time”
In a recent YouTube video, Founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson shared the latest on the steps taken to complete the Cardano TestNet. As per the claims made, if the TestNet survives three particular stages, then it is set for launch reports news outlet, AMB Crypto.
Hoskinson elaborated on his preferred method on initiating a TestNet, while emphasizing on parameterising Shelley. More specifically, he said:
“For June, we are going to implement a YAML generator that allows you to parameterise your personal version of Shelly that will allow you to run the system you want.”
In addition to this endeavor, the Founder plans to communicate with Cardano’s telegram members to assess different scenarios. This is an attempt to promote more understanding on how to host self-nodes for testers, while working towards their July goal of initiating a “single unified public test.”
After completing and evaluating how the TestNet runs have performed over four different hardware configurations, the team plans to move the TestNets to the internet that way users have the opportunity to test a “MainNet like experience”, entailing block downloads from others. Hoskinson trusts that:
“One the three thresholds are being crossed, then we have high confidence that Shelly is ready for primetime from a design perspective and that users can use it correctly.”
As for its interoperability, the Founder disclosed its future works with Emergo, a Japanese-based blockchain firm on the overall testing phases.
As for investors and fanatics’ viewpoint, CoinMarketCal asked whether they thought the Shelly TestNet will commence June 15, 2019 or earlier. Interestingly, 82 votes have been casted and of said votes, 90% appear to have confidence that the roadmap will be achieved on time, if not earlier!
