Check Out October 2018 Schedule For Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Events
October Set to Have a Flurry of Blockchain Conferences
Following months of appalling performance in the crypto markets, the month of September presents a glimmer of hope. As from September 26, leading corporate institutions and global brands such as Coca-Cola, SWIFT, IBM, PwC, HSBC and many others will grace and deliver speeches at the London Blockchain Live conference.
Another key speaker is British minister Margot James, who is expected to talk about blockchain technology and the digital future of the UK. According to the organizers, the Blockchain Live meeting intends to establish a connection amongst members of the crypto community.
The San Francisco Blockchain week
Surprisingly, the Blockchain Live convention has not got much publicity, much like the San Francisco Blockchain Week which is scheduled to commence on October 5. At the end of this event, three will be a Bitcoin Cash developer contest. During the week, several hackathons will also take place.
Many prominent personalities in the blockchain world are expected to grace the San Francisco vent, including Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin, Joseph Poon form the Lightning Network, Dawn Song of Oasis and many others. Besides speeches and hackathons, this event will also have educational workshops, meet-ups and parties.
Swell by Ripple
Just before the aforementioned Blockchain Week, San Francisco will host yet another major conference on distributed ledger technology, called Swell. Swell is organized and funded by the Ripple network.
The major highlight of Swell is the opening speech, which will be made by President Bill Clinton. In addition to Clinton, Swell will be attended by Ben Lawsky, the man behind BitLicense, as well as several regulators, bankers, Ripple employees and other crypto enthusiasts.
Ethereum Network’s Devcon IV
Later on, at the end of October, Prague will host the eagerly-anticipated Devcon IV, the world’s largest convention of Ethereum developers. The main agenda of this meeting, as expected, is finding ways to solve the scaling challenges on the Ethereum network. If all goes well, the Ethereum network should soon be capable of seamlessly handling a billion transactions on a daily basis.
The rather busy schedule in the crypto space between the months of September and October is an indicator that the world is adopting a friendlier stance towards this emergent technology. Going by this trend, the dream of the mainstream utilization of digital currencies may eventually be realized.
