Circle Announces Poloniex Exchange Adds QTUM Cryptocurrency to Platform
Circle Announces QTUM For Poloniex
Circle has recently announced on its blog that Poloniex will start to trade QTUM soon. After the announcement, the QTUM tokens will start to be a part of the Poloniex family. At the moment, the trading is already live for deposits and withdrawals of the token.
Starting on September 7, 16:00 UTC, trading with the following trading pairs will commence?: QTUM/USDT, QTUM/BTC and QTUM/ETH.
According to the company, as they never charge for listings on the Poloniex platform, it was important to emphasize that all the projects that, like QTUM, are put on the exchange, have merits and a strong relationship between their developers and their community.
The company has a framework for reviews that defines points in five categories (fundamentals, technology, people, business model and market dynamics) to determine whether a product is compatible with the company or not and if its decentralized system will be a good fit for the community of Circle and Poloniex.
QTUM is a public smart contract blockchain platform that tries to combine the best aspects of Bitcoin and Ethereum at the same time. It uses the basic structure of Bitcoin and its UTXO model of record keeping because it is secure and efficient. However, it integrates the Virtual Machine technology of Ethereum and its smart contracts.
The token, which is pronounced “Quantum”, powers the Qtum Blockchain and acts as its gas for smart contracts and for rewards for staking, which is used to secure the network.
