Cobra of and Calls Bitcoin Cash

Cobra is a code name for the co-founder that is responsible for developing and However, true to his name, it looks like he is “shedding”” his views on Bitcoin Cash, returning to his original stance – “Bitcoin Cash is dead.”

Taking his opinion to Twitter, Cobra did not stop there. After taking the first jab at Bitcoin Cash, he followed it up with the advice that users should “dump this worthless crap,” believing that all the momentum that Bitcoin Cash previously had is gone.

Only calling the crypto asset “BCash,” Cobra has easily irritated the proponents that want to specifically associate the coin directly with Bitcoin. To add salt to the wound, he turned around and called the whole community “toxic,” despite being a fairly close-knit ground. Most of the community has not been shy about their support for BCH, which was developed by CEO of, Roger Ver.

Cobra told followers that any Bitcoin Cash profiles will be unfollowed right away. The full tweet said,

“Bcash is dead. Time to dump this worthless crap. Had a chance at success but momentum is now working against it. Toxic community. Will be unfollowing Bcash focused accounts on here. Good riddance.”

Only a day ago, Cobra said that Bitcoin Cash was like heroin, and that the Bitcoin SV hard fork in late 2018 is like Fentanyl. The addictive nature of BCH, he said, was due to the low fees with fast confirmation of transactions, leading to “amazing highs” for participants.

About three weeks ago, he had posted that “BCash is dead” already, calling for “new leadership and direction/purpose” from the platform. Without it, he expressed his believe that the price would soon be zero within a few short years.

Clearly, considering the closeness of the community, Twitter users voiced their own concerns. Some questioned his credibility entirely, and some criticized the timing and length of his dwelling, considering his continual rant about the 2017 split.

Twitter user Crypto₿acon, however, believes that Cobra will not maintain their stance forever. The user said, “This is the 3rd time Cobra has denounced bcash. Next week Bcash SV is the truth. Next month Cobra TBD.”
