Coinbase has just announced that it will be offering support for EOS at Coinbase.com and its official applications on Android and iOS. Coinbase customers can purchase, sell, convert, send, receive or even store EOS on the platform. Although it will be available in more jurisdictions, individuals in New York and the United Kingdom will not be allowed to deal with it. The information was released by the company in a blog post.

According to the blog post, EOS is one of the largest cryptos that is used to support large-scale decentralized apps. There are no fees to send or receive EOS. Instead, the protocol requires EOS to use resources such as RAM, CPU and also network bandwidth.
Coinbase explains hat one of the most common requests that they have is related to the possibility to buy and sell more virtual currencies on Coinbase. This is why they are now accelerating the addition of new virtual currencies to the platform.
At the time of press, EOS is currently the fifth largest virtual currency in the market with a valuation of $7.4 billion. Each EOS coin can be purchased for $7.91. In the last 24 hours, EOS dropped 2.4% according to CoinMarketCap.
