Coinbase Users Are Now Able to Send Crypto Assets Directly To The Company’s Wallet Via the App
A new feature has been launched recently by Coinbase. Now, the company will allow the users to transfer crypto holdings directly from the Coinbase.com site to their own Coinbase wallets. The announcement was made on a blog post yesterday, March 12.
According to the blog post, the users will be able to finally link their accounts as soon as the app gets its next update, which should happen in the next few days. They just need to upgrade the app and the transfers will be readily available.
The exchange has affirmed that, as soon as your Coinbase account is linked, you can do the whole process with just a few clicks, which should be easy to lean. This way, the users will be able to buy cryptos on Coinbase.com and then transfer them without any hassle to the wallet app, which lets the user have its own private keys.
This feature will be fully optional, but it will be interesting for the users who are interested in actually getting more security because now they will hold the keys, which can give more true ownership of their money to them.
All users will receive a notification as soon as the program is upgraded so they will be able to connect to Coinbase.com if they choose to do it. Account linking can also be easily turned off in case someone decides that the service should no longer be used. Just go to the Settings menu, then, and turn it off.
There is also an important future upgrade being planned right now. It will give the users the ability to allow cryptos to be directly sent to Coinbase.com after buying them on the app.
The wallet has seen several upgrades lately as a continued effort made by Coinbase to continue to improve its services. Last month, for instance, the app announced that it would have support for BTC, BCH, and LTC on both its versions (Android and iOS).
Coinbase has also announced last month that wallet users who wanted to would be able to create a back up of their private keys on personal cloud storage platforms like Apple iCloud and Google Drive. However, it is well-known that storing your keys online can be very dangerous, so you should be careful before doing it.
