Coinbase wallet users can now look forward to a more updated wallet User interface (UI) as Coinbase announced that it had launched a new bookmark feature in a recent blog post.
This feature will be available on the user’s home screen and will give the them an opportunity to mark their favorite Decentralized apps (DApps). This comes after the company revealed that this update was its most requested feature.
New Update Changes Coinbase Wallet
Other than the Bookmarking feature, Coinbase has introduced a new DApp explorer which will be used for searching for new and most recent DApps.
This explorer has been made the default home screen on the Coinbase Wallet Browser. It will allow the users to access the DApps Without having to leave the wallet browser.
Coinbase further announced that:
“We’ve also made some usability improvements to continue providing the best user experience on the decentralized web. You can now easily switch between the browser and the wallet, without leaving the DApp you’re currently using.”
Coinbase Cuts Down On The Chat Feature
As much as new features have been incorporated into the wallet browser, Coinbase has done away with the chat feature. The company went on to explain that, chatting was not its priority feature rather, making sending of cryptos between friends much easier. The company further added that it had better options to do this than through retaining the chat feature.
In order to streamline the user experience on its platform, Coinbase suggests that it’s best to do away with the chat feature temporarily. This will help the users focus on exploring the decentralized web as well as storing of the cryptos.
Coinbase forecasts great Prospects for Crypto Wallets
Toshi was renamed Coinbase wallet two weeks ago being in line with the company’s “effort to invest in products that will define the future of the decentralized web and make that future accessible to anyone.”
It is the company’s belief that in future, in order to access DApps, everyone will own a crypto wallet. This could then lead to an open financial system.
Merely one year ago, the Coinbase team came up with Toshi, Which was the first wallet to feature both DApp browser and also Crypto Collectibles.
In order to store the private keys of a device, Coinbase wallet uses Secure Enclave and also biometric authentication.
Going with the recent changes that the Exchange has been going through, it is most certain that the product will go through a series of changes in the near future. For now the users are open to exploring what the company has in offer.
