Coinbase Welcomes Stellar (XLM) Listing; Opens Buy, Sell, Convert, Send, Receive or Store Options

Coinbase Pro has constantly been working to bring in new tokens to their platform, giving consumers impressively flexibility in how they can use cryptocurrency. The latest addition, according to an official blog post from the company, is Stellar Lumens, or XLM. Presently, users are able to buy, sell, convert, send, receive, or store XLM. Though the use of XLM will be available in most locations, it initially will not be made an opportunity for UK investors and citizens of New York.

The subject of the Coinbase Effect has come up a lot lately, regarding the phenomenon that a token will rise in price significantly when added as a listing. The last few listings have shown increasing value but have not reached the double digits that this effect used to bring. Presently, XLM is trading at $0.113091, going up by 3.42% in the last 24 hours. It is clear that the price has started to spike, considering that the price before the announcement was down at $0.109574 only hours ago, so the ongoing price changes will be something to look out for in the rest of the day.

Stellar’s cryptocurrency is responsible for powering the payment network of the platform, connecting banks and payment systems with ease and speed. The platform launched in 2014 with a goal of connecting the world through financial infrastructure.
