Coinradar Bitcoin ATM Data Shows Despite Falling Prices, Crypto ATMs Power Up Over 4,000 Locations

According to a recent study conducted by Coinatmradar, it has just come to light that the number of Bitcoin ATMs located across the globe have officially crossed the 4,000 mark. To be even more precise, there are currently 4,060 crypto dispensers all over the world (despite the price of Bitcoin and other alt-assets falling continuously over the course of the past 4-6 weeks).

In terms of where these ATM units are located, North America still has the largest concentration of these machines (with the continent possess a staggering 71.2% of the total market share). Behind N.America is Europe at the number two spot with a total of 23.7% of the market share.

Lastly, when looking at the top Bitcoin ATM manufacturers, we can see that Genesis still controls a major 31.6 % of this niche segment. Trailing Genesis by a small margin is ‘General Bytes’, with a market share of around 30.2%. Last but not least, we have Lamassu with an overall share of 10.8%.

Final Take

It is interesting to note that despite the falling prices of crypto assets across the board, the demand and overall use of BTC ATMs has increased quite significantly over the past few years. Not only that, many investment firms such as eToro and Grayscale too have said that their clientele has increased substantially over the past year or so.
