Bitcoin and Ethereum Show Their Presence on Twitter
As reported by CoinTrendz, there were over 2,000 tweets mentioning Bitcoin between October 9 and 10. The most popular virtual currency is at the top of the list with the largest number of mentions. Bitcoin (BTC) had almost 25% of the total mentions in the top 10 list that includes other virtual currencies.
Ethereum (ETH) has received around 1,150 mentions on Twiter. At the same time, XRP had over 850 different tweets that talked about this virtual currency. Litecoin (LTC) in the fourth position received more than 770 tweets during the last days.
The following virtual currencies were NEO, with 640 mentions, Stellar (XLM) with 580, TRON (TRX) with 570, Cardano (ADA) with 500 tweets, Omisego (OMG) had 500 mentions and NANO registered 450 tweets in the last days.
At the same time, in Google Trends, we can see that Bitcoin remains as the most searched cryptocurrency in Google. Bitcoin had a searching interest of 66 points over 100. In the last 90 days, the second position is held by Ethereum, with a searching interest of 7 points over 100. XRP is the third most searched virtual currency with an interest of 6 points and Litecoin has an interest of 3 points.
At the moment of writing, the cryptocurrency market has experienced a hard drop in most of the virtual currencies Cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, XRP and Bitcoin Cash are registering losses between 11% and 12%. Additionally, the whole crypto market has lost over $15 billion dollars in the last few hours. Bitcoin is being traded close to $6,280 dollars and in the last 24 hours, it has registered a loss of 4.23% of its value.
