Craig Wright Satoshi Nakamoto Plot Thickens As WikiLeaks Verifies Evidence Of Forged Documents
Despite Claiming To Be The Real BTC Creator, WikiLeaks Has Just Provided Evidence That Craig Wright Is Lying
Anyone with any kind of knowledge of Bitcoin knows that it was created originally by “Satoshi Nakamoto,” which is a pseudonym. There has been many claims and theories about who this mystery person or group could be, but Craig Wright is one of the main people to continually claim that the mysterious creator is him. He might be changing his tune now, considering the recent evidence discovered by WikiLeaks.
WikiLeaks has earned its infamy through the multiple leaks of exclusive information, which are normally prohibited from being revealed to the public. However, they have managed to post to Twitter recently, saying the Wright did no more than create these lies out of nothing.
The post says, “Craig S. Wright is a proven serial forger of documents claiming that he is the inventor of Bitcoin. He has been repeatedly caught. This has “been independently verified by WikiLeaks at the time of his first claim and subsequently.”
A GitHub page is linked to the post, which is https://github.com/CultOfCraig/cult-of-craig.
Based on the information from WikiLeaks, it looks like Wright decided to edit a blog on August 26, 2008. Rather than changing the phrasing of existing content, he added a sentence about his work on cryptocurrency. The blog, at the time, spoke on his activities and upcoming plans.
The original text of the blog read,
“Tomorrow – back to the DNS paper, my statistics dissertation and work, Tomorrow, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Which piece, well that is still undecided.”
However, in the altered version, the post said,
“Tomorrow – back to the DNS paper, my statistics dissertation and work. I have a cryptocurrency paper out soon. Twenty years. Triple entry book keeping. BDO was good for something. Tomorrow, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Which piece, well that is still undecided.”
Wright has been long viewed as an outsider in the crypto community, and even big names like Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin have called him such. In a recent Medium blog by Wright, he explained how he is not supportive of WikiLeaks or Julian Assange.
It said, “More importantly, I am strongly opposed to criminal markets and bucket shops. Ross Ulbricht and others like him are criminals. They are not freedom fighters, they are not libertarians. They simply are predators, and they are all that Bitcoin was designed to make far more difficult.”
One Twitter user named “ewaldkegel” commented,
“If Craig S. Wright really was Satoshi then we would have never known the name Satoshi. Modesty was never among his virtues.”
Another chimed in with the handle “vovano_” said, “This was a kind guy gone completely crazy ;(#bitcoinSv is the minority chain of a minority chain #bcash). This is a nonevent.”
