Cred Crypto Lender Onboards New CFO Who was Previously an Executive with PayPal

The crypto lending platform Cred has recently decided to hire Joe Podulka, who will join the firm to become the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Podulka was known for his work on the giant of payments PayPal. He worked as the head of finances in the company’s European section from 2010 to 2014. Not only Podulka has a career in PayPal but he also worked for several years in eBay. He spent over 20 years in the e-commerce giant.

According to Podulka, he decided to join Cred because the company is going a good job in solving several concrete problems for people and companies in the financial world. He also affirmed that the business has a service that is properly licensed, compliant and fully insured.

This was not the only hire made by the company recently. Dan Wheeler, who worked at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, an important law firm, was also hired by the company. He is set to be the new general counsel of Cred moving forward.

The reason why Cred is hiring people from PayPal is probably that the company was created by people who already worked there. The creators Lu Hua and Dan Schatt both spent years of their lives in the company. After some time, they decided to open up their own business and to use the blockchain technology as one of the bases for the company.

Cred is currently backed by several large companies. Arrington XRP Capital and Binance Labs figure as the two most high-profile investors of the firm, but the company was able to raise over $300 million from other companies as well.
