What is CROMhub?
CROMhub is a company that will provide blockchain based services for the digital advertising industry. CROM is a tracking and settlement clearing house for the $500bln/year digital marketing industry.
Tracking and settlement in todays performance marketing ecosystem is not optimal. Fraud and long delays in payments are the norm. CROM intends to change that. CROMhub proposes to handle transactions in performance marketing between parties (advertiser – network – publisher) using blockchain technology and cryptocurrency instead of classic money transfer.
The team behind CROMhub has been mulling over the project since 2015 when although they worked in different companies, they were all involved in performance marketing. The advent of Ethereum made the realization of their project more realistic.
The tracking and settlement process in todays performance marketing ecosystem is tedious and long-winded due to time- and resource-intensive settlement cycles, uncertainty about the months performance, vulnerability to fraud and therefore a general lack of trust among market players.
With CROM, CROMhub proposes a ‘clearing house' approach among n parties in a value chain. As opposed to the status quo described above, settlement along the whole value chain will be almost instant. Advertisers register a conversation(the CPA, CPO, CPL etc.), informing all other parties via tracking mechanisms and are willing to send funds. Networks, as intermediaries between advertisers and publishers, can send and receive funds. Publishers, as final target source of a conversion, can receive funds but cannot send.
CROM improves liquidity by speeding up the transfer of funds, reduces cost being considerably cheaper per transaction and provides smart contract solutions in the event of fraud or emergency. CROM includes an off-chain implementation hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) allowing it to scale the platform independent from regions as well as ensuring low latency and high throughput between all services. The CROM token represents an irrevocable fee advantage in using the Company’s services in the future.
On November 17, CROMhub announced a development partnership with Telefuture/12Ca$H, provider of mobile marketing products.
