Crypto Crusader John McAfee Weighs In On Winklevoss Twins and Charlie Shrem’s Bitcoin Lawsuit
Is John McAfee Showing Support To The Winklevoss Twins?
The cryptocurrency expert and Bitcoin (BTC) supporter, John McAfee has decided to talk about the Winklevoss twins and Charlie Shrem. The Winklevoss twins are the owners of the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini while Charlie Shrem is one of the first Bitcoin millionaires and supporters.
With the Winklevoss twins. Or so they said. I trust nothing. Even though everyone verified their identity, I believe they are clones, and are part of a CIA conspiracy to get me to divulge my secret knowledge of the crypto space. Trust no-one. pic.twitter.com/GLhkcRH5sQ

In a picture uploaded to Twitter a few days ago, McAfee says that enthusiasts should ‘trust nothing’ and talks about a CIA conspiracy.
Why does he comment in this way? Perhaps it can be related to a legal case that the twins filed against Charlie Shrem the last week. Shrem was the co-founder of the virtual currency exchange BitInstant and has been accused of assisting individuals to buy Bitcoins to purchase illegal drugs online.
Because of this situation, Shrem was one year on the jail. Nevertheless, he was able to return from prison and purchase two powerboats, two Maserati and other very expensive things such as homes or luxury items. The Winklevoss twins claim that he acquired these things from a debt that Shrem owed them back in 2016.
The lawsuit filed against Shrem reads as follows:
“Either Shrem has been incredibly lucky and successful since leaving prison, or – more likely – he ‘acquired’ his six properties, two Maseratis, two powerboats and other holdings with the appreciated value of the 5,000 Bitcoin he stole from the Winklevoss twins in 2012.”
The tweet written by John McAfee could be taken as a sign of support for the Winklevoss brothers.
Now, John McAfee is focusing on the presidential campaign that he says, it focuses on cryptocurrencies. He wants to become president of the US by promoting virtual currencies and blockchain technology. This would help individuals learn about digital assets, how they work and the technology behind them.
