Crypto Exchange Globitex To Participate In Mastercard’s Lighthouse Development Program (LDP)
Globitex, a cryptocurrency exchange based in Latvia, has achieved an important landmark, it has become the first crypto company to be accepted into Mastercard’s Lighthouse Development Program (LDP).
This initiative, which was also backed by NFT Ventures, is focused on offering support to companies from Nordic and Baltic countries and to help them in developing a more advanced financial solution. Every six months, 15 companies are chosen for the program. According to the LDP, hundreds of companies apply and only the best ones are awarded the membership.
Jay Jensen, the director of the program, affirmed that these are some of the most promising European companies in this industry and that Nordic and Baltic companies boast some of the most qualified projects in the continent.
Now that the company was chosen, Globitex is set to profit a lot from the help of such major financial companies. While most crypto companies are not really close to Mastercard and other mainstream payment processors, the CEO of the company, Uldis Teraudkalns, is excited about all the new possibilities.
According to him, this will be a huge chance for the company to prove itself to the market and to Mastercard. He wants to show that his company can be reliable and able to become an important Mastercard partner to promote innovation in the industry.
With help from a more established company, Globitex will certainly see new opportunities that will make it much more valuable.
