Crypto Pessimist Dr. Doom on Satoshi Nakamoto’s ‘Nour’, More Trash Talking on Bitcoin and Shitcoins
It is time to see the light and give up on the useless Bitcoin and other shitcoins, according to Nouriel Roubini, a long-term crypto basher and economist famed for his 2008 financial crisis prediction.
In a series of tweets on 30 November, Roubini remains highly skeptical on the future of Bitcoin based on the recent update associated with Bitcoin's founder(s) Satoshi Nakamoto. According to him, the release statement points out to the possibility of Bitcoin becoming a scam in the future.
ZERO% success rate in all these "blockchain" projects. ZERO after wasting millions and billions of dollars. Most over-hyped and useless technology in human history https://t.co/H50z04XvSQ

Insights Into The Hate
That is not the first time that Nouriel Roubini is predicting a bearish market outlook and the failure of cryptocurrency. The economist is often referred to as “Dr. Doom” for his non-positive review on the potential of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. While most of the arguments have not involved any evidence, this time Nouriel says he has the backing from Satoshi himself.
According to the source, an account on the P2P network connected to Satoshi came alive and posted a cryptic status update on November 29. The 2010 profile relates to one of the oldest email contacts used by Nakamoto to upload one of Bitcoin's papers and left a one-word update of “Nour.” Alongside the one word status, the Satoshi account also added a random user who acknowledged the befriending gesture with Satoshi's reappearance.
Much of the crypto community was left searching on the possible meaning of “Nour” to understand the message behind the post by Satoshi Nakamoto. Some Twitter users suggested Urdu, Hebrew and Arabic meanings of the word to decipher a clear message.
David Gerard, a cryptocurrency author, controversially connects the word “Nour” to the economist Nouriel Roubini.
“Satoshi Nakamoto is warning us that Bitcoin was a mistake and @Nouriel is correct in all his concerns.”
Roubini quickly recognized the acknowledgment by Gerard and took the opportunity to trash the crypto innovation once again. In response, he writes:
“Indeed Nour-i-El in Hebrew means “The Light/Fire of God” or “God is My Light/Fire.” So Satoshi is trying to send to the crypto lunatics, a subliminal message re yours truly @Nouriel: It is time to see the Light and give up on the useless BTC & shitcoins. Haha! Lol!”
Not The First Time
There is still much skepticism as to whether it is the founder or just another case of user email hacking. In the past, emails once under Nakamoto's control have been hijacked, and these users suspect the P2P case is no different. The email used to sign up to the P2P foundation- [email protected] may be hacked or in the ownership of a new entity.
Jack Palmer, the founder of Dogecoin, was quick to point out this fact by saying:
“The profile has been hijacked for many years by way of the email hack.”
