Crypto Users Have Option to Purchase an Airplane Using the Binance Coin (BNB)
Although many experts disagree on the short-term future of digital assets, the push to adopt crypto is something that everyone can agree. This is why so many were so excited when it was revealed that the BNB could be used to buy planes.
Buying Planes with BNB
Aeron, a startup that wants to save lives using the blockchain, revealed that Pilot Shop, one of its ventures had an aircraft for sale. When the plane was listed for 268,000 EUR, the Pilot Shop said that it would accept Aeron tokens (ARN) and BNB. The plane itself is a Columbia 350 made in 2007. To take part in the sale, you will need to give about 31,603 BNB or 446,666 ARN tokens. The aircraft is currently in Austria.
Crypto Based Purchases
The BNB CEO has said that he would shill projects that use BNB in their ecosystem. He took to Twitter to inform the masses about this development. This announcement comes shortly after Remixpoint and Hinomaru Limousine decided to work together for payment solutions in the BCH, BTC, and ETH in the transportation sector. Hinomaru will most likely enable payments in crypto for limousine ride in Tokyo and Narita or Haneda, the region’s two major airports.
Hublot, a Swiss watchmaker also revealed plans to supports payments in crypto. They have revealed these plans at the same time as the release of a new timepiece. This timepiece was inspired by BTC and is designed to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the crypto.
It means that large players in the crypto world can buy timepieces, limo rides, and four-sitter planes via crypto assets. There is even a mansion on sale in New York for $15.9 million or its equivalent in BTC. While most other pushes for crypto payments have been on retail, it would appear, there is a push to get to crypto high net worth people. It shows that crypto adoption is growing in sectors of the economy.
Binance Coin Success in Payments
The owner of the aircraft is not the only one to accept BNB payments. Numerous outlets have plans to support BNB Coins as a payment method. For instance, Crypto.com recently shipped the first Monaco Visa cards to users in Singapore.
The program, with over 100,000 crypto investors, will let users buy items in the real world using ETH, LTC, BTC, Monaco, BCH, and the BNB Coin. Monaco card comes with cashback rewards in free ATM withdrawals, travel benefits, crypto, and tap to pay capability. It currently costs $0, which has most consumers rushing to get one. This will help to boost the adoption of crypto in the world.
Other platforms that plan to use BNB are Kyber Network, Nexo, PundiX and the Binance exchange. The Binance exchange noted that the uses cases for their native token are growing daily. Thus, they believe that this will help with the maturation of the crypto world. This is despite the dismal performance of the crypto world in 2018.
