YouTube Celeb Nicholas Merten Makes Big Bitcoin Prediction

A cryptocurrency influencer has just made a prediction with a $50,000 end of year valuation for Bitcoin even as failings are experienced in the fiat market.

The entrepreneur and crypto space investor, Nicholas Merten, who commands a strong social media presence and a huge following of over 34,000 followers has a wide-reaching influence and can cause a significant change in trends by his opinions and tweets. He has a dedicated YouTube channel called ‘data dash’ that has a following of nearly 300,000 users.

Merten has made a prediction that Bitcoin will go to $50000 on 2018. This is more than double the coin’s 2017 high even as the latest prediction relies on major shortcomings in the fiat market. According to his predictive tweet, Merten points out four factors he believes with push the price of Bitcoin to unprecedented highs by the end of the year. They are:

• Interest rates will continue to rise
• Deutsche Bank will go under by the end of 2018
• Equities and housing prices will take a massive hit
• With trillions of $'s that need to exit, the SEC will create a Bitcoin ETF

As the tweet went out some of his followers differed with the known crypto evangelist. One follower using the twitter handle Sammy Tommy questioned his reasoning by pointing out that there is no correlation between interest rates and cryptocurrency prices and that there’s no way a bank the size of Deutsche Bank is going under by the end of the year as a result of a restructuring.

Another follower asked Merten for his prediction on the end of year crypto market cap. His response? He wrote that in his it is likely to go to $1 trillion.

Bulls Prediction of Prices from $15000 – $100000

The bulls are predicting a big number for Bitcoin in the fourth quarter regardless of whether they are soberly discussing the fiat banks’ charts and graphs or talking about their imminent collapse.

Tom Lee another famed crypto evangelist who sticks by his end of year prediction of $ 25000 relies on regulation clarity to boost the circulation of institutional money despite Bitcoin falling below $ 8000 over the past week.

Another crypto enthusiast John McAfee swears by Bitcoin reaching $1million in 2020. He sticks by his prediction of Bitcoin teaching $15000 by June, an indication that it will be on track to meet his million dollar predictions going by his magic algorithms.

Whichever way one looks at it crypto evangelists all have their opinions and whether or not their predictions come to pass is yet to be seen.
