CryptoCompare Informs Over 76 Million Trades Happened on Crypto Exchanges on April 2, 2019

The cryptocurrency market seems to be recovering from the bear trend that started in January 2018. During the last few days, virtual currencies started growing in price. Most of them were able to register double-digit numbers in 24 hours’ periods. Volatility has also increased.

Number of Trades Spikes

The number of trades on April 2 has registered a new high in the last few months. According to a Tweet released by CryptoCompare, a website that aggregates data and information, virtual currencies reported that the number of trades on April 2 reached over 76 million. This is equal to an average of 900 trades a second.

In the morning, there were a few spikes of over 3,000 trades per second in the morning. At the same time, the mention that things are looking positive also for April 3. As the company explained, April 3 was registering an average of 800 trades per second.

Although the website explains that their data comes from an internal monitoring dashboard, they are planning to make the data available through their API.

This shows that the interest in trading digital assets is growing in the market after the incredible price increase in Bitcoin and other digital assets experienced a few days ago.

Bitcoin was traded close to $4,100 when it moved upwards, crossed $4,200 and reached $5,100. Other virtual currencies such as Bitcoin Cash (BCH) grew more than 50% in 24 hours. Meanwhile, Litecoin (LTC) was clsoe to reaching $100 after being traded close to $23 in December 2018.

Most of the crypto enthusiasts and analysts believe that the bear market has already ended and that virtual currencies are entering a new bullish trend. This is very positive for Bitcoin and virtual currencies after being in a bear market since January 2018.

At the time of writing this article, Bitcoin is being traded close to $5,000 and it has a market capitalization of $88.2 billion.
