Cryptocurrency Exchange Huobi Poaches App Executive to Lead New US Branch
Frank Fu, a former managing director of Meitu, has recently announced that he would join HBUS, a new strategic partner of the cryptocurrency exchange Huobi in the US. Fu’s job will be to manage the operations and to oversee how the technology will be developed.
The exchange is formally entering the American market right now and has already registered with the regulators, so this is certainly a key time for Frank Fu to come in. According to its website, the exchange will start doing business as soon as July starts.
Frank Fu Already Knows The Market
Fu’s new position is not necessarily a transition to the crypto space as he already invested more than $2 million USD in a sports game called MyDFS and was an advisor this year. According to the executive, this is a “compelling time” for the industry.
Cai Wensheng, which is the founder and chairman of Meitu, stated that he bought 10,000 BTC during the first quarter of the year, so Frank Fu is far from being the first person in the company to be attracted to this new market.
