Cryptocurrency Payment Firms Offer Up to 20% Discounts to Purchases on Amazon Prime Day

Prime Day is ending today on Amazon and cryptocurrency payment gateways are offering customers even better deals on the purchases made today on Amazon. The buying spree bonanza rewarding the premium users on Amazon is expected to offer you a chance to great deals buying using cryptocurrencies. This is aiming at increasing the adoption of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies across the globe and is there a better opportunity than Amazon?

Amazon boasts of being the largest wholesale and retail e-commerce platform in the world which is a huge opportunity for cryptocurrencies if it picks up. While there are a number of crypto payment gateways offering excellent deals, we look at Moon, Purse and Fold – three crypto firms with deals on Amazon Prime Day.

Pay with Moon CEO: “A Loss Worth Taking”

Users on the “Pay with Moon” platform, short Moon, are being offered 5% discounts on their Prime Day purchases in a bid to increase their customer base and promote crypto payments across the globe. The crypto payment firm allows users to shop on Amazon and pay using the Lightning Network or connect their Coinbase accounts for an array of crypto payments including BCH, ETH, and LTC among others

While the CEO Ken Kruger agrees that the 5% discount fee, named Crypto Prime Day, is a loss to the company, he believes the overall impact will be positive for the company, he says it would boost adoption and further reward the holders of the coin.

He continues,

“[Bitcoin] will also incentivize folks to learn more about crypto. Who doesn’t want to save an extra 5 percent? Maybe you have a friend who’s been skeptical about Bitcoin and that extra 5 percent off on Prime Day is just the incentive needed to get them to give it a try. Adoption is good for everyone.”

Fold App Amazon Gift Cards

The Fold app, another cryptocurrency payment gateway on Amazon, will offer a $5 Amazon gift card to purchases above $50 USD on the platform. The app allows users to use cryptocurrency to pay for items on established online marketplaces and retailers including Amazon, Wholefoods, Starbucks, Target, and Dunkin’ Donuts among others.

Lightning payments are making fast BTC payments across the network and this promo will provide a huge opportunity for users to try out cryptocurrency payments. This promotes the use and purchase of cryptocurrencies to make day to day payments at your convenience. The limit is one gift card per account with over 20 gift cards already distributed.

Amazon Prime Day, Every Other Day

Unlike its competitors, Purse offers a 24/7 offer on Amazon deals bought using Bitcoin on the platform. The Google Chrome extension allows users to buy BTC using their credit and debit cards, shop and get discounts on Amazon, import your wishlist and get discounts and also earn BTC by fulfilling customers’ orders. Every day is “Amazon Prime Day” on the Purse platform.

Purse is not aligning itself with the others in honoring the special e-commerce extravaganza but the co-founder Andrew Lee said customers can save up to 20% on their Amazon purchases. The company charges a 3 to 4 percent commission on its trades and will save Prime Day buyers an extra 5-20% in their sales today.
