CryptoKitties’ Maker Dapper Labs Latest Game ‘Cheeze Wizards’ to Fuse Blockchain and Crypto Collectibles

Hot on the heels of the runaway success of CryptoKitties, Dapper Labs is set to roll out another exciting collectible game. The Vancouver Blockchain-powered game developer who brought the industry down with the famous digital felines is planning to relaunch another craze!

Dapper Labs earned immense respect after it developed and released CryptoKitties. The ERC-721, Blockchain-backed, and non-fungible tokens christened ‘digital felines’ are now among the most exciting creations in the industry. Like Pokemons, these felines are collectible, yet are quite valuable given that each of these Cryptomonsters has a monetary value attached to it. e

The whole idea of making these collectible CryptoKitties useful is responsible for the fame and popularity this game already enjoys. The highest valued digital feline to date was $170,000, according to DappRadar, which also reports that the game is among the highest-ranking in DApps.

Here comes Dapper Labs’ Soon-To-Be-Launched Crypto-Collectible Game

This game’s superiority has, however, forced other third-party DApps, especially KittieFIGHT, to jostle for the second and subsequent positions. Dapper Labs, on the other hand, has been focusing on putting the $15 million it achieved from the game’s funders in 2018, to develop and launch Cheeze Wizards.

About Cheeze Wizards

It is another Blockchain-powered game, but with lots of new and exciting addition. Key among the tournament-style battles this game will feature are those similar to the ones in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, Hearthstone, and Marvel Strike Force.

If you have no idea how playing these tournament-style battles feels like, then don’t sulk. Let’s look at the nitty-gritty and the mechanics defining the evolution of the contemporary PVP gaming.

It’s a Huge, Lively and Fast-Growing Industry

Today’s video-gaming sector is worth well over $40 billion, even as it’s still far from reaching its prime. But it is also among the highly competitive industries across the world today.

The whole scene is basically described by the thousands of ingenious developers, manufacturers, and distributors. Interestingly, all these main stakeholders seemingly can’t be contented with their respective share of the $40 billion. They are investing in all they could to outsmart each other and stay ahead of the competition.

The Blockchain technology, and rightly so the cryptocurrencies, on which this video game industry is pegged also benefit from the gaming enthusiasts’ massive acceptance. And out of the enormous recognition it’s now enjoying, tech giants, Microsoft and Sony, are trying to make an unprecedented entrance through E3, next-generation gaming consoles.

The new gaming sector is best described by microtransactions, anti-cheat, IP protection, tracking of statistics, decentralized servers, and several advanced features. And as it stands, Sony and Microsoft are already shoving legacy companies, especially Sega, out of the gaming console industry.

The two are ready and set to take on the giant search engine brand, Google, as the next generation of gaming wars start. It remains to be seen if ardent fans of Valve’s robust Steam marketplace will fully embrace the new environment. Already, Amazon’s very-own Twitch looks highly expected to succeed in all platforms.

Gamers, meanwhile, are battling, not just for wins and high scores, but also to gain more followers and greater fortune. They are increasing their mastery of the game, including building strategies in readiness for the May 24th pre-sale of Cheeze Wizards as well as the mega launch slated for summer 2019.

Grilling Cheeze

The new game will feature two Wizard levels: Neutral (the lower tier) and Elemetal (the upper tier); both tiers embodied by NFTs. Ideally, Neutral can be likened to the gray or minion characters, while Elemental Wizards will have green, unique characters.

Another great feature with Elemetal will be the exclusive, Pokemon-like features they’ll have. The collectibles will have power over earth, fire, wind, water in such a manner that water will have more ability than the earth, which will, in turn, be more potent than wind.

One exciting addition in this new Cheeze Wizard is the power added upon the always-lame Captain Planet. It's healing in this new game will be among the key determinants of winning an MMO dungeon raid.

Most of the recent-day games feature more than two tiers, and it’s surprising why the creators of this soon-to-be-released game settled for two. However, apart from these features, little is known about the other extras that Elemental Wizards will come with. It’s highly likely that more elements will be out before the year ends.

All that aside, it will be interesting seeing the amount of traction this game will amass. The odds could be stacked higher considering that every time they release a new game console, it suddenly shoots to the top. It’s a trend that happened in 2012, 2013 and again in 2017, even though all these weren’t about Wii U, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

The pre-sale of this game raised 500 ETH and more than 3083 Wizard summons. The Wizards summoned comprised over a thousand Neutrals, 604 Wind Wizards, 639 Water Wizards and Fire Wizards numbering 656. These numbers alone give a slight glimpse of how much of a success this Dapper Labs creation will be.

You Shouldn’t Hesitate to Invest In It

For you gamers looking to invest your money wisely, you can bet on Cheeze Wizard. It might earn you a fortune when its summer launch finally comes. However, beware that your location could preclude you from placing your ‘early-bird’ Cheese Wizard order.
