There have been several attacks to crypto-related platforms, including exchanges. The main reason behind these attacks is related to the fact that platforms tend to have bugs and failures in their security systems that allow attackers to have access to large sums of funds.
In general, when crypto exchanges experience these kinds of attacks, they tend to have weak communication with the community affected by the hack. This time seems to be different. Nonetheless, it will be important to see which security measures the exchange took for this situation not to happen again in the future.
