CZ Donates BNB Coin To New Charity Program To Help People Fight Lawsuits Against Craig Wright
CZ Starts New Charity Programme To Help People Fight Lawsuits Against Craig Wright
Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, the Binance CEO seems to have fed up with Craig Wright and his bullying antics. Recently, Binance announced the delisting of BSV token from all its services due to bullying behavior of Wright, where he sent lawsuit threatening letter to many in the decentralized world. CZ thought delisting would teach Wright a lesson, and it would also bring an end to his bullying behavior.
However, the delisting seems to have not gone down well with Wright and he continued filing lawsuits against many other personalities including his arch-rival Roger Ver. This has prompted CZ to start a charity foundation specifically aimed at helping the victims of Wright's lawsuits in paying their legal fee. CZ kick-started the campaign by donating $10,000in BNB coins.
The fund is aimed to help those victims who cannot bear the burden of high-legal fee on their own. CZ also believes that the initiative would finally make Wright realize that there is no point picking up on those who cannot afford to fight him in court. He tweeted,
“The donations will be sent to a selected lawyer directly from BCF, with proper verifications and tracked on the blockchain. And when the case is done, we should get the funds back from the lawyers.”
While Craig Wright is currently suing those who are financially sound and can take care of the legal fee, but it all started with a Twitter user hodlnaut being sent a legal notice for calling Wright a scammer.
CZ started a Twitter poll to ask his followers whether they should start a charity campaign to help the victims with their legal fees and among the 1000 votes that his Twitter poll received, 2/3rd of them were in favor of the charity foundation to help stop Wright and his antics.
The list of people being sued by Wright includes Peter McCormack, who is behind the podcast “What Bitcoin Did”, and Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin along with the Bitcoin Cash evangelist Roger Ver. CZ's poll tweet read,
“CSW is picking on the people who have a hard time fronting their legal fees. How about we do a @BinanceBCF charity program to raise money from the community for legal fees for anyone CSW [email protected] @rogerkver @jihanwu”
CZ Is At The Forefront In The Fight Against Wright
Craig Wright was believed to have a good cordial working relationship with the world's largest crypto exchange Binance, however, after the delisting of BSV token things are getting heated up between the two most recognized personalities in the crypto space. Wright after the delisting said that Binance is a money laundering bucket and CZ is running a crypto mafia.
While CZ is known to possess a calm persona and only divulge in progressive talks and provide great technical insights, it seems Wright's continuous bullying behavior has not gone down too well with the CEO of largest crypto exchange. He was also responsible for asking others to delist BSV token from their services which prompted Kraken and ShapeShift to follow the same.
CZ realizes that his aggressive take on Wright has got many by surprise and explained,
“Trust me when I say I really didn’t want to get involved in this mess. As boring as I am, I do have better things to do. But sometimes, you have to do go down to the sewers and clean up shi…”
Peter McCormack in response to the charity said that he would not like to see people donating their hard-earned Bitcoin to cover his legal fee. He explained,
“Hmmm. Thanks for this CZ but I really don’t think people should donate their hard-earned Bitcoin to my fund. I got myself into, it is up to me to deal with. Also, it may cost more to fight it than what they want.”
Roger Ver on the other side had earlier released a video in response to Wrights's 100,000 GBP lawsuit by recording a short video message for Wright, calling him a scammer and fraud and challenging him to sue him again. Ver is also in support of CZ's initiatives to help those who cannot afford to fight a legal battle against CSW.
Craig Wright in his failed pursuit to prove that he is the real Satoshi has stopped down to lower levels with each of his pseudo claims getting busted almost immediately. However, this time CSW seems to have crossed the limits by filing lawsuits against those who have called him out for his lies. This bullying behavior has not gone down well with many, but CZ decided to take it upon himself to beat Wright at his own game.
CZ believes that with the charity fund put in place, the victims can challenge Wright in court, and he would have no other option than take back those lawsuits.
