Dallas Mavericks’ Mark Cuban Gives NBA Fans Option To Buy Tickets Using BTC & LTC
NBA’s Dallas Mavericks to Accept Bitcoin for 2018/19 Season Tickets
Dallas Mavericks’ owner, Mark Cuban, announced that they will be accepting bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to pay for tickets during the 2018-19 NBA season.
After a Twitter user asked him when crypto and bitcoin purchases would be available for tickets, he answered that it is going to happen during the “next season.” In this way, NBA fans and Mavericks’ followers will have the possibility to purchase tickets with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Mr. Cuban explained in an email to Bloomberg:
“True. And we will be taking Ether as well. As far as tokens, we will be taking tokens originated by companies we have business relationships. Some people want to buy products in krypto to prove a point. We are happy to make it easy for them. And for Existing Mavs fans who prefer to spend krypto currency we are happy to make it easy for them.”
These are surprising news due to the fact that Mr. Cuban said back in 2017 that Bitcoin was a bubble. It seems that after watching it grow during the last year he got convinced that virtual currencies are here to stay.
In a video guide that Mark Cuban filmed, he backed Bitcoin and Ethereum saying that if people want to be rich they should consider investing 10% of their salary in the two most important virtual currencies in the market (BTC and ETH).
This is not the first time that sports are related to digital currencies. The former footballer, Michael Owen decided to launch his own token known as ‘OWN’. The cryptocurrency will be used to pay for soccer training lessons and tutorial programmes that Michael Owen is developing.
