dApp browser and wallet Toshi decides to accept Litecoin (LTC)

One of the best-known dApp browser and wallet providers, Toshi, has announced recently that it will finally accept Litecoin (LTC), among other cryptos.

For a while now, a popular wallet service and dApp browser, Toshi, has been receiving requests from its users to expand and start accepting other cryptos. So far, the provider has only allowed Ethereum (ETH) and projects linked to Ethereum. However, the new announcement issued this week might change that.

Namely, Toshi has revealed that it is planning on accepting more digital currencies, and the expansion will also include Litecoin (LTC).

The release date for this change has yet to be announced, but the news has already started spreading through the entire crypto world. Litecoin's Charlie Lee has also joined in on the excitement, and has posted a tweet in which he states that the Toshi app is cool as it is, but it will be even better with LTC included.

Litecoin's value has been constantly dropping and rising, and the last 24 hours have seen another drop of 1.89%. Because of this, its price is currently around $133.45. So far, it would seem that the news of Toshi opening up to LTC has not helped much. However, many expect that this will change once more information becomes available.

Charlie Lee's statement regarding the price is that it “does its own thing”. He has reminded the community that the adaptability of cryptos is a marathon, and not a sprint. For now, it is enough that LTC is making yet another move towards expansion.

LTC joins TapJets as well

TapJets, which is a company that provides flight services, has decided to run a Twitter poll this Tuesday in order to determine which crypto it should adopt next. The community voted, and the results showed that LTC had the biggest support. It was not the only one, however, and Ripple (XRP) also received quite the number of votes. This has caused TapJets to decide and go for both cryptos, even though Litecoin obviously had more supporters.

After the contact with Litecoin's team has been established, the two made an arrangement, and LTC will officially be accepted as one of TapJets' accepted payment methods starting June 1.

The new development was also confirmed in yet another tweet by Charlie Lee:

Litecoin has a lot going on right now, and as far as anyone can tell, this crypto is on a rise. Even though its price still struggles to find some stability, the coin is definitely gathering more and more support with each new victory like these.
