DappRadar Study: “Number of Daily DApps Users Now Approaching the 200,000 Mark”
As the blockchain industry continues to flourish with each passing day, brand new statistical data available on DappRadar seems to suggest that the daily number of global dApps users now stands at an impressive total of 198,493 individuals.
The aforementioned number is in stark contrast to associated figures from 2018 — which show that the total number of Ethereum dApp users 12 months back stood at around 15,000.
A Detailed Look at the Matter
When looked at closely, we can see that a majority of the recent dApp daily active spike has been witnessed due to the entry of EOS as well as TRON into the market. The aforementioned platforms were launched over a year back and have been witnessing an amazing amount of success since their inception.
With that being said, it is worth noting that the usage of both EOS as well as TRON is highly skewed in the direction of questionable domains such as betting and gambling. This is made evident by the fact that most of the dApp transaction volume (around $35 million) on both of the aforementioned ecosystems comes from gambling dApps.
Other Key Stats Worth Remembering
- At press time, the largest dApps in the market are all witnessing a total daily usage of around 5 to 10K customers per day.
- Statistical data shows that the global dApp ecosystem has grown quite tremendously over the last year or so. However, despite such developments, there are only a limited number of projects that currently have more than 10,000 daily active users.
As mentioned earlier, the gambling market makes up an overwhelming majority of the global dApp transaction volume. It now remains to be determined how the future of this emerging industry plays out from here on end.
