DASH Secures Venezuelan Financial System Placement with Blockchain Built Mobile ‘KRIP’ Phones
The cryptocurrency craze may have faded away over the course of 2018 but fundamental projects have thrived regardless. Dash happens to be among the flourishing blockchain projects at the moment after its mass adoption by the Venezuelan community. This follows the massive sale of the Dash blockchain built mobile ‘KRIP’ to the economically suffering Venezuela. Records show that a significant portion of the so far sold 66,000 devices is owned by crypto users in Venezuela.
Earlier in the year, Dash started a collaboration with Kripto Mobile Corporation. The two entities focused efforts on building a mobile device whose internal system is the Dash blockchain ecosystem. Simply put, clients are able to operate all the services offered by Dash via ‘KRIP’. Some of the services offered include; digital wallets to store DASH and an app known as Bitrefill for acquiring new digital currency. The firm’s target in terms of market up take has been surpassed by over 100% given it was aiming for 10,000 new users for every month yet its only been 3 months & over 50,000 devices have sold.
A Successful Venture For Dash & Kripto
This partnership is clearly among the few to bear fruits in a very short time especially within the crypto arena. As stated earlier, the two have sold a whooping 66,000 devices within a few months. It also appears that the largest order placed is from Venezuela owing to the country’s ailing financial system and macroeconomic instability.
Furthermore, the two are working with DiscoverDash.com to increase the accessibility of Dash merchants within its operation zones. DiscoverDash.com provides a link between the directory for locating these joints and KRIP users. The team has developed and integrated a mobile application for easier use on the Dash built mobile devices. One of the adavantages of this move is an easy design for Dash that is fuelling mass adoption.
Bradley Zastrow, the Head of Business at Dash Core Group, commented on this development;
“Our focus since the launch of our KRIP phones in August has been to make this incredible Dash ecosystem as complete and inclusive as possible. That we have already sold and shipped over 66,000 phones in only two and a half months clearly shows we are achieving those goals. “
He added that,
“Now, with Dash Text and the DiscoverDash.com app, we’re expanding our partnership and enhancing the user experience, making it easier than ever before for the Venezuela community to use and transact in Dash in their everyday lives.”
Latin America; The Next Target Market For DASH
Dash appears to be moving fast in securing a position within the South America market. The blockchain & crypto project has created an entry strategy via the Venezuelan cryptocurrency industry. It has gone as far as provision of SMS services based on digital assets which basically reduces the purpose of smartphones in the region.
The trick by Dash to build its own blockchain oriented mobile device seems to be working so far as more people embrace this form of transaction. Its interior ecosystem provides Bitrefill, Dash wallet & Uphold; the 3 can be used for digital spending, storage & purchase of DASH crypto coins respectively. Mr. Zastrow said that the uptake of KRIP signals that the team is on the right track.
Statistics have shown that the Dash wallet download increased by over 20% in the months of September & October despite a tough half year for the market. The KRIP built services are also contributing to the numbers with transaction volumes on the rise via Uphold & Bitrefill’s functionalities.
Andrea Coll, the Marketing Manager in KRIP Venezuela has similarly embraced the milestone;
“The results to date have been exceptional, and we’re thrilled to now build on that success by expanding to now include Dash Text and DiscoverDash.com. These phones provide users around Latin America with an affordable way to acquire and use cryptocurrency for everyday transactions, like buying groceries or sharing money with family.”
