DC Blockchain Summit 2018: March 6-8, 2018 Event Details?
This is a conference whose primary objective is to promote the adoption and use of digital assets and the underlying blockchain technology. Ultimately, this project aims to achieve an ecosystem that creates jobs, encourages innovations and nurtures investments. To realize these goals, the conference educates, advocates and works hand-in-hand with essential policy influencers, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders in the investment sector.
DC Blockchain Summit March 6-8, 2018 Event Details
The meeting is scheduled to commence on March 6th, 2018. On the first day, the conference will host a 24-hour code-a-thon, with the aim of exploring the future of blockchain technology. This competition will bring together elite engineers and programmers, as they look to come up with inventive ideas that address:
- Payments – the objective is to make transactions faster and safer.
- Regtech – there is need for enhancing back-end solutions to comply with current regulations
- Digital identity – clients need trustworthy and irrefutable digital identity solutions.
After the stipulated period elapses, the winner will take home the grand prize of 1 BTC. The first runner-up will get 3 ETH, with the third place getting 50 QTUM.
The second day will mark the official opening of the conference, preceded by the award ceremony as mentioned above. The summit’s initiator, Jihan Wu, will then issue an opening speech. Later on, the delegates will discuss the impact of blockchain on other industries, particularly agriculture, cybersecurity and online payments.
On the final day, the main agenda will be the future of blockchain and industries that rely on this unique technology. In this regard, the issue of smart contracts will be prioritized. The meeting will culminate with the deliberation on the high proliferation of initial coin offerings.

This year’s edition of the blockchain summit will be held at the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. The actual convention will be in the Rafik B. Hariri Building, Lohrfink Auditorium.
