Denelle Dixon Appointed As The New CEO Of The Stellar Development Foundation
The Stellar Development Foundation has appointed Denelle Dixon as their new CEO and Executive Director. Dixon’s tenure is set to begin on May 1. The current Executive Director, Jed McCaleb, will assume the position of Chief Architect, where he will oversee the network protocol and head the campaign for the mass adoption of the Stellar blockchain.
McCaleb, who is also a co-founder of the Stellar Foundation, said that they were happy with the appointment of Denelle Dixon. He added that Dixon’s previous experience in overseeing business operations at Mozilla will prove invaluable in steering the development of Stellar. Jed also mentioned that Denelle is a proponent for the implementation of policies concerning data encryption and privacy.
Before her appointment, Dixon was the COO at Mozilla, one of the world’s leading open source foundations. At Mozilla, her most significant achievement was spearheading the foundation’s campaign for net neutrality and giving individuals control over their personal information. Denelle also forged partnerships with private business without giving up their core principles such as opportunity, transparency, and innovation.
