Rodman's Shirt Says It All: The Former Basketball Star Goes To US-North Korea Summit In PotCoin T-shirt
Dennis Rodman, a former basketball player, made quite an impression when he arrived for US-North Korea summit in his PotCoin T-shirt. The stunt went viral almost instantly, and the coin started receiving more and more attention.
An Unexpected Crypto Promotion
The US-North Korea summit got some extra attention in an unexpected way when the former NBA player, Dennis Rodman, arrived. Rodman's arrival in Singapore received even more attention than anyone would have expected due to his decision to show up in a sporting T-shirt that had a large PotCoin logo printed on it.
Just arrived to Singapore for the Historical Summit! Looking forward to @POTUS having incredible success that the whole world will benefit by. Thank you @potcoin for supporting my mission! #Peace #Love #HistoricalSummit #Singapore #PresidentTrump #MarshallKimJongUn pic.twitter.com/XNDsyBjLv8

The entire situation received a lot of attention, and this move went viral in an instant. The coin started receiving attention as well, which many believe was the whole point of this stunt.
The spokesman of the State Department quickly declared that Rodman is not a part of the official delegation of the US. He also added that there will be no comments regarding Rodman's private travel plans, and the only thing that can be said is that he is not considered to be the representative of the US on this occasion.
As unexpected as this stunt was, many were not that surprised to see it happen. After all, Rodman has become a sort of a representative for PotCoin. Not only that, but it was PotCoin who funded this trip for the former NBA star. The announcement of Rodman's plans to show up at the summit came on Twitter, by the basketball player himself.
Thanks to my loyal sponsors from @potcoin and my team at @Prince_Mrketing , I will be flying to Singapore for the historical Summit. I'll give whatever support is needed to my friends, @realDonaldTrump and Marshall Kim Jong Un. pic.twitter.com/QGPZ8nPrBE

Another interesting thing is that this is actually the second time that PotCoin has done this. The first time when they financed Rodman's travel happened last year, when he went to North Korea. Rodman's part of the deal was the same back then, and he showed up in a PotCoin T-shirt for that occasion as well. The consequences included the immediate spike of PotCoin's price, which makes it quite obvious why the coin's team would like to try that again.
A Stunt For Publicity
There is a lot of doubt regarding this coin's sincerity, which is not that surprising, considering that it can be used for marijuana purchase. The entire cannabis industry, in general, has become extremely interested in cryptocurrencies, and the possibility of their use as a method of payment. Many with ties to this industry believe that cryptos are actually the key to solving the sector's financial problems.
As for Rodman, his plan for the summit includes a meeting with Kim Jong-un, and the big idea behind it all is that the coin should somehow play a role in the process of achieving a lasting peace. Trying to help with achieving peace is a noble goal, but might be a bit too ambitious for a crypto such as PotCoin.
Additionally, this might not be the best time to promote any cryptocurrency, let alone one such as this, especially considering that this will be the biggest diplomatic meetings in the recent history. Many believe that there is a time and a place for everything, and PotCoin's decision to make this meeting about itself is anything but appropriate.
