Diginex and Anti-Slavery NGO Mekong Club Partners with Verifik8 to Test eMin Blockchain App
Diginex which has been established as a global blockchain solution company along with the Mekong Club which is an anti-slavery NGO have gone ahead to join forces with the popular data analytics platform called the Verifik8.
This was all to help in the pilot of eMin, which is in Thailand, an app that has been designed to be blockchain based that can help in taking the significant steps in improving the lives of the migrant workers, and thus, this will help in reducing the chances of exploitation taking place. All this will be made successful by engaging both the public and private sectors.
The Pilot has been funded by the British Embassy that is based in Bangkok; they will be responsible with taking the eMin app to the next level of its evolution and straight into the field for testing by the agricultural workers within the month.
More about the eMin app
The Diginex platform developed the app, and this was made possible in partnership with the Mekong Club. It was established to protect the migrant workers and be able to increase supply chain transparency.
The app will be able to enhance trust, security, and transparency in the recruitment process of workers; this is by ensuring they have stored an immutable copy of the employment contract together with the employment terms within the Ethereum Blockchain.
In the past few years, the regulators who are based in Australia, UK, US, and France have passed the necessary legislation that is requiring the businesses to eradicate human trafficking and slavery within the supply chains. For the companies that fail to comply with these legislations will result in attract large fines, the containment of their products at the port together with significant losses due to the reputation damage they would undergo.
With the use of the Verifik8 it will be able to provide the needed data intelligence together with analytics for the agribusiness suppliers; thus, it will be able to facilitate the pilot that will be on the ground in Thailand.
