Diginex Joins Steptoe & Johnson-Led Blockchain Alliance as the first Asian firm
Diginex– Hongkong a based financial services startup, joins the blockchain alliance led by Steptoe and Johnson as the first Asian firm.
“the first fully diversified blockchain player on Nasdaq”,
announced that it was now a member of the public private forums of the firms and organizations which are promoting secure blockchain development.
The alliance co-founded by the International law firm Steptoe & Johnson and the Chamber of digital commerce and coin center has now over 100 industrial and governmental agencies in 19 countries.
As reported by Cointelegraph, the association includes regulatory entities Europol and Interpol. Other members include Crypto entities such as Kraken and Coinbase; Payments firms such as Circle and Ripple are also members as stated in the organization’s site.
Industry and Regulators Dialogue
Richard Byworth-the CEO at Diginex stated the importance of the alliance saying that the organization encourages communication between the government authorities and the blockchain-based firms. Byworth added that this would help minimize the risk in the industry.
The firm currently prides itself as the first firm in Asia to join the forum with the intention of being the key voice in creating a dialogue between the law enforcers and the industry.
Besides being a member of the blockchain alliance, Diginex has also been a member of the popular Global Digital Finance. Global Digital Finance is a major industry association that develops cryptocurrencies' global code of conduct.
