Digital Asset To Work With Amazon AWS Aurora To Boost Smart Contract DAML More Interoperable
Blockchain– based software startup, Digital Asset has revealed that it is collaborating with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Aurora in efforts to making the language of its digital contract, Digital Asset Modeling Language (DAML) further interoperable. The deal was announced during the ongoing IMN Synchronize Europe Conference through a press release, Cointelegraph reports.
The deal will mean that various platforms will support DAML in different blockchain networks comprising Hyperledger Fabric as well as blockchain consortium R3’s Corda, which were outrightly mentioned in the press statement.
DAML was started in 2016. It can be described as an expressive language that was developed for use by financial firms as well as merchants to craft and execute agreements using the distributed ledger technology (DLT).
The cooperation between Digital Asset and Amazon’s cloud storage engine, AWS Aurora, will allow companies to create applications utilizing DAML and afterwards use them in different blockchain platforms. The press statement revealed that the integration will be released in July and will be enabled by Blockchain Technology Partners (BTP) management network Sextant which can be accessed in the AWS marketplace.
Firms do not need to commit to a single precise ledger prior to creating their infrastructure as it will be possible without changing the code, reads part of the press statement.
A Series Of Partnerships
Digital Assets has been entering into agreements with different companies. In April, after open sourcing DAML, the company revealed that it was incorporating the language with Sawtooth Hyperledger which is a modular network used for distributed ledgers. Similarly, the partnership was enabled through a collaboration with BTP.
The press statement stated that the current incorporation with Fabric was commercially backed by HACERA’s Unbounded Network that links public and permissioned blockchains in various clouds.
In addition, in April, Digital Asset also announced a partnership with renowned cloud computing firm VMware to incorporate DAML with the firm’s blockchain network.
Earlier in April, Amazon announced the release of their own controlled blockchain service through AWS. the company explained that the blockchain is a service that will allow users to develop and sustain blockchains with utmost ease either on Ethereum or Hyperledger networks. The managed blockchain allows the automation of various features of blockchain management.
