DMM Bitcoin Launches Biometric Authentication
A Japanese cryptocurrency exchange called DMM Bitcoin, which is operated by the Japanese e-commerce and entertainment conglomerate DMM Group, has launched a new system that enables the company to use biometric authentication for Android users on the app.
You can find a notice on the company’s site that stated that this function is still not available right now but it was already affirmed that it will use a dedicated app, Polarify, which will be able to authenticate your voice, face or fingerprint.
The biometric authentication will be available for iPhone users only.
About DMM Bitcoin
The DMM Bitcoin exchange was launched on January 11, 2018. It is part of the giant Japanese DMM Group and it supported 7 cryptos and 14 trading pairs at launch.
The tokens that are available on the exchange are Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Ether (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), NEM (XEM), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Ripple (XRP). All the trading pairs are matched with Bitcoin like ETH/BTC, for instance, as well as crypto with ETH/YEN.
