Domino’s Pizza France Plans to Give Away Up to $110K in Bitcoin Prizes For Its 30th Anniversary
Domino’s Pizza French unit recently introduced an ordering competition that would see the pizza joint spend as much as €110,000 in cash or Bitcoin prizes.
Dates for the Game
According to a tweet sent out by the company on September 6th, Domino’s Pizza French unit had initiated an ordering competition that would see the company give away as much as one hundred thousand euros.
The game, which started on 4th September is expected to last until October 6th. The competition is part of its plans to mark its upcoming 30th anniversary.
The competition is meant to allow pizza buyers to take part in the ordering games which will last until October 2nd. The purchase registration, on the other hand, will continue to be available until the 6th of October, this is according to the information posted on the official campaign website.
The competition rules note that the amount that will be awarded in the form of BTC will be equivalent to one hundred thousand euros. The amount will be calculated based on the rates prevailing on the date when the Bitcoin was acquired by the game's organizer. This applies to winners who will choose to receive their prize money in the form of BTC.
According to the rules, Domino’s Pizza will ensure that the winnings are transferred to the winner’s Bitcoin account by the 16th day of December.
Blockchain Related Initiatives Held Earlier
It is important to note that Domino’s Pizza is in no way new to the cryptocurrency space as well as to using Bitcoin. Earlier this year, the Malaysia and Singapore divisions of the Pizza giant partnered with SingularityNEt-a Dutch blockchain company to assist it to deploy its blockchain-enabled AI tech.
The purpose of this partnership was to help Domino’s Pizza enhance its logistics and supply chain processes both in Singapore and Malaysia.
Today, Domino’s Pizza is among the pizza businesses that make it possible for its clients to make payments for their purchases using Bitcoin. This is part of the Bitcoin Pizza Day, a celebration that takes place each year during the month of May. It has been held on the 10th of May since 2010.
