CoinDesk reports that the company was started in september 2019 on a seeding round of about $2.35 million. Lolli has increased a range of its new partners that comprise of national grocery chain safeway that was added in July as well as Hotels.com in June. currently Lolli has more than 750 online partners that comprise of retail giant, Walmart and Sephora.
Lolli CEO Alex Adelman claims that the aim of the company is to make Bitcoin mainstream saying that approximately 40 percent of the app’s users are fresh to cryptos.
In the official Lolli Twitter account the company announced the partnership and gave the details. The partnership with Postmates will allow Lolli users to earn $2.25 Bitcoin back on every purchase order on Postmates. Additionally, first time users to Postmates will earn $18 in Bitcoin on their maiden purchase order.
Adelman praised the new partnership with Postmates saying that it was another move aimed at enhancing mainstream adoption of Bitcoin as Postmates is used on a day-to-day basis by people all over the US. Adelman also explained that part of Lolli’s main objectives is to make Bitcoin part of people’s everyday lives and the partnership with Postmates will help the company achieve this. He explained:
“Everybody eats and now you don’t have to feel guilty about ordering in when you’re stacking sats on each order,”
Postmates pioneered the on-demand delivery movement in the United States by offering delivery from restaurants and stores previously only available offline. The company now operates in 2,940 US cities and provides access to over 250,000 merchants.
