Elon Musk Wants to Create a “Cryptocandy”

One of the richest persons on earth and owner of the Tesla company has written a series of Tweets in which he says that he would like to create a cryptocandy. But what is behind these tweets?

Apparently, the tweets were part of an exchange between Elon Musk and Warren Buffet. During the last week, Tesla stated that economic moats were ‘lame.’ What he said impacted Buffet who coined the term in the past to describe the competitive advantage of a specific company.

Later, Buffet responded to Elon Musk at his annual Berkshire Hathaway meeting. He said that moats are still a viable idea, and that his See’s Candies business could be a good example of this.

Warren Buffet commented:

“Certainly, you should be working on improving your own moat and defending your own moat all the time. Elon may turn things upside down in some areas. I don’t think he’d want to take us on in candy. There are some pretty good moats around.”

But Elon Musk did not take so long to answer back to Mr.Buffet.

“I’m starting a candy company & it’s going to be amazing” wrote Musk on may the 5th.

“I am super super curious,” he wrote in another tweet. “It just occurred to me that the plot of Willy Wonka is really messed up.”

The interesting thing is that he said that he would be interested in a “Cryptocandy.”
