EMURGO Signs MOU With South Korean Government-Approved Trade Associations; Will Boost Cardano Adoption
- Cardano to capture “huge untapped potential” of digital content & mobile gaming lucrative industries of South Korea
- MOUs to drive the adoption of a global Cardano and bring value to ADA holders
Cardano partner has signed MOUs with Korea Blockchain Contents Association (KBCCA) and Korea Mobile Game Association (KMGA) to explore and integrate blockchain-based solutions into the Korean digital content and mobile gaming industries, announced EMURGO.
The official Cardano partner, EMURGO is a commercial and venture arm of Cardano project. Headquartered in Singapore, it also has a presence in the USA, India, and Indonesia, EMURGO works on driving the adoption of a global Cardano and bring value to ADA holders.
Both KBCCA and KMGA are approved by South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT to seek growth of the local digital content and gaming industries.
“EMURGO is pleased to collaborate with KBCCA & KMGA to foster the continued development of blockchain-based content & mobile gaming industries,” said EMURGO CEO Ken Kodama. “With digital content & mobile gaming rising in popularity year after year, there is a huge untapped potential to implement blockchain-based solutions into these lucrative industries,” he added.
South Korea is the fourth-largest mobile gaming market in the world. With, 9 out of 10 South Koreans owning a smartphone, it also has the highest smartphone penetration, with a demographic of 21-35 years old adults.
All these factors combined with the data that adult Korean consumers spend more than half of their time online serves as a “strong foundation” to implement third-generation blockchain-based solutions of Cardano into leading game development and content creation enterprises.
Both KBCCA & KMGA have hundreds of members consisting of local content creation enterprises.
