EOS Asia becomes the 21st Block Producer to develop EOS DApps
EOS has been the talk of the town lately with the buzz around its forthcoming MainNet launch. In recent news EOS Asia, a technical team and experienced DApp developer, announced its warrant as an official Block Producer (BP) candidate, making them one of 21 presidents of the EOS blockchain ecosystem. EOS later confirmed that there will be not more than 21 Block Producers in total, where EOS investors will have the option to vote on June 2nd, 2018.
EOS Asia has an all-star international team representing US, Europe, China and Korea with a hardcore technical founders and hackers backed by Y Combinator. They have over 15 years of combined server and cloud technology experience, building and scaling apps serving millions of users. They aim to use their technical ability to create DApps that will push for widespread adoption and take EOS into the mainstream.
EOS Asia will employ enterprise-level cloud servers using Amazon Web Services (AWS). In the launch stage, especially immediately after the Mainnet launch in June 2018, block producers will require a high degree of flexibility in order to respond to the rapidly changing needs of the EOS DApp community. Building their infrastructure on AWS provides this flexibility by allowing rapid up-scaling based on current network requirements.
Cloud servers also provide portability, which allows us to painlessly redeploy servers in the additional region as needed. The team behind EOS Asia has extensive experience with running cross region AWS services that served billions of requests and spoke in AWS Summit conference.
